Dee Barlas Films is an independent production company founded by writer and director Demitra (“Dee”) Barlas. The company was born from a desire to tell women’s stories that breathe and live — without apology, without explanation, and without conforming to anyone’s expectations of what a woman’s story - or anyone's story- should look like.
